The Problem

Many brands use loyalty programmes to encourage repeat business, but most follow formats that don’t engage consumers. This is often due to CRM systems that are incomplete and outdated. How can we create a unique loyalty programme that excites customers, improves CRM data accuracy, boosts sales, and appeals to a younger audience?

The Insight

Physical and digital collectables are beloved in children’s toys and games, sparking both excitement and participation. To combat the mundane perception of grocery shopping, we’ve crafted a revolutionary solution. This innovative approach aims to boost brand loyalty by turning shopping into an interactive experience that features a growing collectable component.

The Solution

We created Wild Space, the first-of-its-kind mobile game that gamifies grocery shopping. With a rich storyline and expansive 3D world, players construct Outposts and collect Explorers by using Wildbucks (the in-game currency) that are obtained by scanning QR codes of items while you shop. With over 60 unique Explorers to collect, the game allows players to build, explore, and collect Explorers as they journey through Wild Space. To incentivise gameplay, we incorporated participating products, which if scanned, give players an increased amount of Wildbucks. Wild Space drives loyalty across multiple brands by allowing consumers to enter a universe in which they can build up a collection of exciting characters in their own galactic world.
